Family Program: Songwriting 101: Shania Twain Style

Saturday, July 22, 2017 - 10:30am

Write a song as a group in this introductory workshop. Nashville-based producer, songwriter, and music educator Shane Adams will teach the fundamentals of songwriting, including form, imagery, and rhyme scheme. Participants will listen to a Shania Twain song to get the creative juices flowing. At the end of the workshop, participants will sing and record the group song. Adams is a founding instructor for Berklee Online, an extension of Berklee College of Music.

This activity, presented in support of the exhibit Shania Twain: Rock This Country, takes place in the Museum's Taylor Swift Education Center and is designed for guests ages 7 and up.
