Family Program: Songwriting 101: Holiday Style

Saturday, December 23, 2017 - 10:30am

Write a holiday song as a group in this introductory workshop. Using a few classics as inspiration, Nashville-based songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Adam Ollendorff will teach the fundamentals of songwriting, including form, imagery, rhyme scheme, and the Nashville tradition of co-writing. At the end, participants will sing and record their “co-write,” the group holiday song. Ollendorff has co-written songs with Jim Lauderdale, Keb’ Mo’, and Maren Morris, among others.

This program takes place in the Museum's Taylor Swift Education Center and is designed for guests ages 7 and up.
