Family Program: Songwriting 101: Celebrate the 1960s

Saturday, April 01, 2017 - 01:30pm

Write a song as a group in this introductory workshop. Nashville-based songwriters Doug and Telisha Williams, better known as Wild Ponies, will teach the fundamentals of songwriting, including form, imagery, and rhyme scheme. Country songs popular in the 1960s will provide inspiration in this collaborative songwriting experience.

This activity, presented in support of the fiftieth anniversary of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, takes place in the Museum's Taylor Swift Education Center and is designed for guests ages 7 and up.

Admission is included with Museum ticket* or Museum membership. Seating is limited.

*Participating children and up to two accompanying adults may take part in this family program and tour the Museum at a discounted rate! Inquire at the Box Office for more information.
