Family Program: Is It a Fiddle or a Violin?

Friday, July 28, 2017 - 10:30am

In Texas it's probably a fiddle. In Boston it might be a violin. In Nashville it depends. This hands-on program explores the differences and similarities between the two. Presented by Ryan Joseph, a member of Alan Jackson’s band, in which he contributes fiddle, mandolin, and harmony vocals. A performing prodigy who learned from his grandfather, Joseph has played with Billy Ray Cyrus, Vince Gill, Craig Morgan, Kacey Musgraves, and Bonnie Raitt. Participants will have the chance to try a fiddle—or is it a violin?—before the program ends.

This activity takes place in the Museum's Taylor Swift Education Center and is designed for guests ages 5 and up.

Admission is included with Museum ticket* or Museum membership.
