Family Program: Fiddle Meets Guitar: Hank Williams Style

Saturday, October 21, 2017 - 01:00pm

Program takes place:

• 1:00 p.m.–1:45 p.m.
• 2:00 p.m.–2:45 p.m.

Form a band with new friends in this fiddle and guitar workshop. Participants will begin with a mini-lesson on either the fiddle or acoustic guitar. After learning basic technique, the two groups will join to perform the Hank Williams classic, “I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry.” Musicians Ryan Joseph (fiddle) and Adam Ollendorff (guitar) will lead this introductory class. Joseph plays fiddle and mandolin with Alan Jackson and has played with Billy Ray Cyrus, Vince Gill, Kacey Musgraves, and Bonnie Raitt. Ollendorff has performed with Brandy Clark, Vince Gill, Natalie Hemby, Will Hoge, and Loretta Lynn. Instruments provided or bring your own.

This activity takes place in the Museum's Taylor Swift Education Center and is designed for guests ages 7 and up.

Admission is included with Museum ticket* or Museum membership.
