Family Program: Beginner Mandolin Workshop

Program takes place:

• 10:30 a.m.–11:00 a.m. 
• 11:15 a.m.–11:45 p.m.

Originally from Italy, the mandolin is an important instrument in bluegrass and country music. Led by Ryan Joseph, this beginner workshop will explore basic chords, strumming techniques, and a few tunes. Joseph is a member of Alan Jackson’s band, contributing fiddle, mandolin, and background vocals. Mandolins provided or bring your own.

This activity takes place in the Museum's Taylor Swift Education Center and is designed for guests ages 7 and up.


Admission is included with Museum ticket* or Museum membership.

* Tennessee children ages 18 and under from Cheatham, Davidson, Robertson, Rutherford, Sumner, Williamson, and Wilson counties receive free museum admission as part of Community Counts: Museum Admission Program for Locals.
