Family Program: Beginner Banjo Workshop

Saturday, November 25, 2017 - 01:00pm

Learn banjo basics and apply them to holiday country songs. Participants will practice easy chords and picking patterns. Musician and teacher Jimmy Olander will lead this introductory class. Olander is the lead guitarist and banjo player for Diamond Rio. Banjos provided or bring your own. ​

This activity takes place in the Museum's Taylor Swift Education Center and is designed for guests ages 7 and up.


Admission is included with Museum ticket* or Museum membership.

* Tennessee children ages 18 and under from Cheatham, Davidson, Robertson, Rutherford, Sumner, Williamson, and Wilson counties receive free museum admission as part of Community Counts: Museum Admission Program for Locals.
