Creative Zone: Embellished Instruments: Guitars

Drop in anytime between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

Young designers will personalize paper guitar designs inspired by the stylized instruments on display in the galleries. Unique pieces on view include Buck Owen’s custom-made red, white, and blue sparkle Fender Telecaster, Joe Maphis’s double-neck Mosrite electric guitar, and Taylor Swift’s Swarovski crystal-encrusted Taylor acoustic, among many others.

This activity takes place in the Taylor Swift Education Center and is designed for guests of all ages.


Admission is included with Museum ticket* or Museum membership.

* Tennessee children ages 18 and under from Cheatham, Davidson, Robertson, Rutherford, Sumner, Williamson, and Wilson counties receive free museum admission as part of Community Counts: Museum Admission Program for Locals.
