Songwriter Tom Douglas wrote "The House That Built Me," a #1 hit for Miranda Lambert and 2010 winner of the CMA and ACM awards for Song of the Year. After trying for years, the Atlanta native landed his first hit in 1994, at forty-one, when Collin Raye went to #2 with "Little Rock." Since then, Douglas has piled up the credits, including "Grown Men Don't Cry," "My Little Girl," "Let It Go," and "Southern Voice" for Tim McGraw; "I Run to You" and "Hello World" for Lady Antebellum; and "Love's the Only House" for Martina McBride. He received Oscar and Golden Globe nominations as a writer of "Coming Home," sung by Gwyneth Paltrow in the film Country Strong. This interview and performance will be illustrated with vintage photos, film footage, and recordings. The program will be streamed live at CountryMusicHallofFame.org.
