Songwriting credits include “A Rose and a Baby Ruth,” “Waterloo,” “Tobacco Road,” “Ebony Eyes,” “Talk Back Trembling Lips,” “Break My Mind,” “Indian Reservation (The Lament of the Cherokee Indian),” and “Abilene.” Member, Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame.
