Biography

Country music performer. Born April 2, 1947. A multiple Grammy winner who has made significant contributions to country-rock; the reinterpretation of country standards by the Louvin Brothers, Hank Snow, Loretta Lynn, and Buck Owens; the renewed interest in acoustic country music around the turn of the 21st century, and the alternative music movement. Proved her songwriting skills over the years since 2000. Her hit recordings include “If I Could Only Win Your Love,” “Together Again,” and “That Lovin’ You Feelin’ Again” (duet with Roy Orbison). Member, Country Music Hall of Fame®.
