Night Train to Nashville Reunion Concert - Friday, June 17
The Night Train to Nashville Reunion Concert features guest performances by veteran R&B singers Frank Howard, Herbert Hunter, Marion James, Sandra King, Robert Knight, the Valentines, and others, all of whom will take turns singing with a house band led by local luminary Jimmy Church. These artists appeared in the museum’s 2004-05 major exhibition, Night Train to Nashville: Music City Rhythm & Blues, 1945 –1970, and on the accompanying, Grammy-winning CD series. This special concert marks the first reunion since the closing of the exhibit.

Stealing Angels - Friday, July 8
Caroline Cutbirth, Tayla Lynn, and Jennifer Wayne are country group Stealing Angels. In case any of their last names sound familiar … they should! These young women are descended from American icons, including folk hero Daniel Boone, country great Loretta Lynn, and film legend John Wayne. The trio’s music, including their new single “Paper Heart,” promises to make Stealing Angels a famous name, too. The group’s upcoming debut album was produced by Paul Worley (Dixie Chicks, Lady Antebellum) for his label, Skyville Records.

Carter’s Chord - Friday, August 5
Carter’s Chord consists of sisters Joanna, Emily and Becky Robertson. They spent their childhood immersed in the sounds of country music, specifically the Outlaw Movement, thanks to parents Carter and Barny Robertson, both of whom were members of Waylon Jennings’ road band. Having performed together from an early age, the three sisters made their recording debut on a 1998 Jennings album that their father produced. On May 24, Carter’s Chord will release the harmony-laden Wild Together on Toby Keith’s record label, Show Dog (a subsidiary of Universal Music).
