Home to the museum’s award-winning educational programs, the Taylor Swift Education Center offers a fun space for unique hands-on experiences connected to the museum’s content. Three classrooms, a videoconference lab, an interactive gallery, and more create an exciting learning environment for all ages. Open during museum hours, the education center also features youth art installations and special artifact cases. With programs that include curriculum-connected activities for school groups, tailored programs for toddlers, afterschool workshops for teens, and book talks for curious adults, the Taylor Swift Education Center is a special dedicated space where visitors of all ages can experience the culture of country music.
Students from Hillwood High School and Nashville School of the Arts studied the work of Chicago-based artist Jon Langford as it appears in the museum’s exhibit Dylan, Cash, and the Nashville Cats: A New Music City. They visited with Langford himself to gain insight into his art and process.
At an opening reception March 16, students viewed their Langford-inspired pieces, on display in the Taylor Swift Education Center.
